The Green List is the voice of the green movement in the Student Parliament. Our objective is to hold UiO accountable, by fronting green solutions to today's challenges and promoting green student policies. By green student policies we mean policies that are humane towards students at UiO, support their right to knowledge, safeguard a good psychosocial environment and are responsible toward the rest of the world. A vote for us is a vote for a greener and fairer UiO.
What matters to us:
1.Green and fair procurement agreements. Climate action without social and biological justice is greenwashing! UiO and SiO must have suppliers with sustainable and fair value chains. Establish ethics councils, expand the climate and environmental strategy into a strategy for green justice, carry out and make public due diligence assessments.
2.Green and vibrant campus. More furniture and reading places in green areas, a separate outdoor area for each program, and facilitate outdoor teaching. Reach the goals of sun shading, worthwhile measures for saving energy, and solar panels by 2026. 80% of green areas set aside for species-rich and insect-friendly areas, such as hayfields, in 2024. More space for student and employee kitchen gardens. Edible plants inside and outside the campus, such as herbs, berry bushes and fruit trees.
3.Better accessibility and recording of lectures. Process applications for individual accommodations before the start of the semester. Post recordings of all lectures online, preferably without requiring logging in. Living costs must be reduced (curriculum, housing, food, travel) and financial support for students must be increased. SiO will consider food vending machines and have more delicious, healthy and cheap plant-based food.
